18th “Quo Vadis Swiss Financial Centre?” Conference of 19 August 2026 – Financial Market Regulation in the Age of Crypto and AI
The 2026 conference explores the challenges of financial market regulation in an era of technological transformation and examines how emerging technologies can be effectively accommodated within existing and future regulatory frameworks.
The programme focuses on key issues relating to fintech, crypto-assets and artificial intelligence, including the proposed revision of the Swiss Financial Institutions Act (FinIA), anti-money laundering requirements in the draft framework for the regulation of crypto-assets and stablecoins, the implications of technological innovation for bank boards and legal and compliance functions, as well as liability considerations arising from the use of AI.
